EMBOLIZACIÓN ESPLÉNICA PARCIAL EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE LA TROMBOCITOPENIA SECUNDARIA A HIPERESPLENISMO:: CONSIDERACIONES TÉCNICAS, POSIBLES COMPLICACIONES Y EVALUACION DE RESULTADOS
Resumen
OBJETIVOS
Valorar nuestra experiencia en el empleo de la embolización esplénica parcial como tratamiento del hiperesplenismo (alternativa menos agresiva que la esplenectomía) en pacientes con trombocitopenia severa y comorbilidades asociadas.
MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS
Se procedió a la embolización esplénica parcial, en 16 pacientes:
- 14 mujeres y 2 hombres
- Edad media: 54 años
- Entre 2008 y 2017
Características clínicas de los pacientes:
- Esplenomegalia + Trombocitopenia Severa
- Etiología:
- Púrpura Trombocitopénica Idiopática: 12 pacientes
- Cirrosis con Hipertensión Portal: 2 pacientes
- Síndrome de Evans: 1 paciente
- Síndrome Mielodisplásico: 1 paciente
